Beacon
Park Boats, sailed its way to victory in the 2006 Marine Industry Regatta,
held on the Solent on Wednesday 26th April.
We were the only narrowboat company entered
out of the 41 marine companies, including; International Paints, BMF, Henry
Llyod, Boating Business, Yachting Monthly and Practical Boat Owner
magazines, just to name a few.
This was the third year that Boating
Business hosted the event which takes place from Port Solent, near
Portsmouth. The event is a one day regatta, using matched Sunfast 37 yachts,
hired from Sunsail ( www.sunsail.co.uk
), who also provide the race officer and committee boat. We raced four short
races and finished a comfortable 1st over all, with 4 points clear of second
place.
Listed
right are the competing companies in place order. |
